SPECIALIST REPAIRS FOR AUTOMATIC AND MANUAL GEARBOXES

Our New Blog!

Hello and welcome to the inaugural blog for this the new website for North West Transmissions Ltd. The main point of this blog for me is to open up a dialogue with our customers both trade and retail. I want to use the blog to bring information about recurring faults we have come across in certain vehicles and offer advice on how to avoid some problems. Also it’s a platform for me to “get things off my chest”, you know stuff that needs saying that often doesn’t get said, and hopefully I can do this with humour and candour. I will try not to get too technical when talking about innovations in the transmission world (don’t we all love Audi’s DSG), and I will try to keep the dialogue light.

Not everything in the blog will be about cars and garages; I hope to include stuff about what’s happening around me generally without gazing too hard at my own navel.

First a little bit about me and our company.

I’m Ronnie Gerrard (no relation to Stevie G). I live with my partner Nicola and Daughter Charlotte in Merseyside, and we all enjoy several hobbies and interests which I’m sure will become more apparent as the blog develops. Together with my father (also Ronnie) I run North West Transmissions Ltd. The principles on which we run our company are quite simple; honesty, integrity and fairness.

We believe dealing with a garage to have your car repaired should not be a frightening experience, one were the customer has lost trust with the garage even before the job has begun. Yes there are bad garages out there and “garages from hell”, and we feel as strongly as you do that these businesses should be exposed and closed! But the majority of garages do aim to do a professional job at a reasonable price, when you consider the amount of technology on a modern car the job of a mechanic becomes so much more complex. Getting the job right first time now can often mean spending more time with the computer than a spanner, but a good vehicle technician will always explain the processes and procedures required to carry out a professional repair. What we aim for is to give the customer peace of mind, we will endeavour to find and fix the fault on your vehicle in the shortest time and at the best price we can. We know you can trust us to do the job right!

Anyway I think that’s enough by way of an introduction, and I hope you will come back and visit this blog again soon.
